Annemarie Luchtenburg and Marije Stofregen form Congress & Event Services together. They both have their roots in Rotterdam and have many years’ experience in organising national and international congresses and events. This gives them specialist knowledge, as well as a valuable network of suppliers and partners. In addition, Annemarie and Marije distinguish themselves by their common qualities: knowledgeable, pragmatic, stress-resistant, flexible, hands-on and efficient.
With a background in management and organisation, Annemarie Luchtenburg has many years’ experience in organising large international congresses. In 2011, she launched her own event management agency AnnTertainment. In this role, she was responsible for organising a range of international congresses, symposia, inaugural lectures, thesis defence ceremonies and other group events, usually on behalf of clients such as the Erasmus MC and Erasmus University Rotterdam. As well as having a passion for enterprise, she is also a real team player and has enjoyed working in the academic world since 2000, fulfilling the roles of coordinator, communications officer and researcher in various departments. Because of her wide experience, she instinctively understands the needs of her clients and participants.
Marije Stofregen is an entrepreneur who applies her strategic thinking to all aspects of networking and congress and event organisation. Before starting her own business, she spent 12 years working as a Senior Conference Manager at the Erasmus MC Congresbureau. In this role, she was responsible for organising numerous national and international scientific and medical congresses. This process often starts with a bid (putting yourself forward as a city or location) and ends with the actual execution of the congress, and covers all aspects of organisation in between. Together with the Board of Directors, she also organised the Erasmus MC Corporate Events.
